Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• What you send through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, the kind of stay you are asking about, and your message.
• What we exchange afterwards: emails, WhatsApp messages and calls about your booking.
• Identity details on arrival: the name and ID or passport details of each guest, which Albanian accommodation rules require us to register.
• Booking and payment records, kept as our tax obligations require.
• Basic technical data our website host records, such as the IP address a request came from, for security and to keep the site running.

2. What we use it for

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails.

• Answering your enquiry and arranging your booking.
• Contacting you about a stay you have booked.
• Meeting our legal obligations, including guest registration and tax records.
• Keeping the property, our guests and our neighbours safe.

3. Our legal basis

We process your data under Albanian data protection law. Depending on the information, our basis is one of the following: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing that contract once you book; complying with a legal obligation, such as guest registration and tax records; or our legitimate interest in running and protecting the property.

4. Who else sees it

We keep the circle as small as we can. Your information reaches only:

• Resend, which delivers the enquiry email from this website to us.
• Google, because we receive that email in a Google mailbox.
• Our website host, which runs this site and keeps its server logs.
• Albanian public authorities, where the law requires it, such as guest registration.

5. Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind on it.

The location page embeds a map from Google. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, under its own privacy policy rather than ours. If you do not open that page, no map is loaded.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into bookings are kept only as long as we need them to answer you and for a short period afterwards, then deleted. Booking, guest registration and payment records are kept for as long as Albanian tax and accommodation law requires us to keep them, and no longer.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use of it, or object to how we are using it. Where we hold data only because you agreed to it, you can withdraw that agreement at any time.

Write to [email protected] and we will answer. Some records we are legally required to keep, and we will tell you plainly when that is the reason we cannot delete something. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Albania.

8. Keeping it safe

This website is served over an encrypted connection, and enquiries are delivered to a mailbox only the villa team can open. Access to guest information is limited to the people who need it to run the property.

9. Children

This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data through it. Where children stay at the villa, their details reach us from the adult making the booking.

10. Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
